Production shot from ‘Welcome to Thebes’. Photography by Sarah McKenna Ayres.

Oliver has steadily and patiently devoted his time and love of the craft to becoming an intensely focussed, quick witted and very playful actor.

An only child of the 70s and raised on a council estate in North London, Oliver has always been comfortable and relaxed in a tougher environment, and this gives him a uniquely gritty Chinese perspective in his acting style.

He is both equally at home with either comedy or tragedy, but loves the inner turmoil of playing heavily conflicted and emotionally damaged characters whether it be Iago in Othello, Polykleitos in Welcome to Thebes, or Shrevie in Diner.
